The '67 SG Special Reissue was part of Gibson's 2007 "Guitar of the Week" series, as week #37's guitar. It was a limited production run with only 400 produced. While most were produced in 2007, a small batch was produced in January 2008 to fulfill dealer orders, with the only difference being a silk-screened Gibson logo.
Strangely, contrary to it's name, it does not represent a 1967 SG Special, as it does not have the "Batwing" pickguard that a 1967 would have, as well as the vibrola and a few other features. It is more of a mix of features from Specials throughout the 1960s.
