Daytona Blue
The SG GT was introduced in 2006 and billed as a guitar for the "artist with a heavy gig schedule". It is unique for its dual-action truss rod, locking tuners, strap buttons and output jack, and high pass tone filter to prevent treble bleed with lower volume settings. Another unique aspect is that the mirror fretboard inlays. The bridge cover is supposed to resemble a car's hood scoop and is removable. This model uses the body design of the SG Standard. It was discontinued in 2008.
Note: This model was not a limited run and there was no production limit. Do not believe sellers claiming otherwise; this has been confirmed by Gibson.
Interestingly, Gibson's website depicted a Candy Apple prototype with the bridge cover painted to match the body. Promotional photos also depicted the Muscle Green finish to have white stripes when it actually came with black stripes.
