The SG Special Limited was produced starting in late 2011 and into 2012. Its most notable features are Dirty Fingers pickups, a Black Obeche fretboard, and the finish options. The Renault Blue finish option is a result of an earlier collaboration with automaker Renault on the Gordini By Gibson '61 Reissue.
