Fireburst
The SG Supreme was introduced in 1999 as a high end SG model, slotting just below the SG Custom and being the top of the line USA model. Starting in 2000, humbuckers were offered alongside the P-90s and ultimately the P-90 version was discontinued in 2002. Also in 2002, the finishes were changed so that the burst emanated from the bottom, instead of all sides. This version was discontinued in 2009 and effectively replaced by the SG Carved Top.
In 2016, it was reintroduced as a limited run with a carved top, similar to the SG Diablo or SG Carved Top before it.
In 2017, it was effectively replaced by the SG High Performance.
In 2024, it was reintroduced to the lineup.
